Tres Cool.

The buildings look old to me still, but it's clear the sky, water, and landscape are far improved. I think it's probably time to redesign some of the structures. Shiny buildings in Omni-1 would be delightful. I will say though, that if they want to get more people to sign up with this, they really ought to put a smattering of characters populating the cities in the next teaser...

Definitely good news. The upgrades look nice so far, and the ability to use a modern video card should do wonders.

Bad news (for anyone who cares)...they just pushed back the release for AoC again, to May 20. I still hope the offer some sort of premium account, giving access to both titles, especially with this nice upgrade coming.

AoC news? Gross! :P

The only PC gaming I plan to do in this new year is AO (whenever I arise from the mass pile of reading and work I have to do since getting back to school) and Hellgate: London. Didn't release well, but with a couple big patches and plenty of small fixes, and having tried the demo, and the optional subscription deal for online play, it has caught my eye as a side game

Major update to water would be good, as it is, I don't even see water in half the areas I go to, and I know there should be water. Good example is in Adonis, swimming around near the Arks, I'm more like flying (I don't see the water). But I can see water when I am in Ely running along the brink... It happened on my old computer and same thing on my new one, dunno what the bug is. :?

I'm pretty sure it's an issue related to turning off like off-surface technology or some crap. One of the optional visual settings that isn't necessary and causes more lag for everyone and also major issues with some version of ATI or nVidia (but not both... remember that much at least) graphics cards.

I get the same deal. Used to get water everywhere in Ado and I'm pretty sure it was because I turned off a setting

interesting, going to check it out. But why would it affect water in some areas and not others? go figure...

At least I believe that setting (or something closely named to it) caused such issues. I remember it being widely known as being useless. Need to log in sometime to see exact name of it and if it still makes any difference today
