Useful AO websites and 3rd party tools!

Post by ClockworkD »

** Obligatory Disclaimer: These are sites/tools that OO members have found useful/reliable/nonthreatening, but as they are 3rd party, you are using at your own risk **

Please let us know if any of the links go dead or need fixing.

Official AO forums

Item databases (and perk planners, equip configs, prof nano listings, etc...)
Auno - can search for character information & history
AO Mainframe - can search items that buff a particular skill, also seems more frequently updated

Clicksaver
ClickSaver - yes it deserves its own section, and here at OO we only use Vor's site which is the best anyway ;)
Clicksaver Guide - by Agaille, teaches you how to use this tricksy tool
Mission Settings 101 - how to set up your mission settings

Other 3rd party programs
Halorn.com - great tools written by OO's very own Voralitex! AO Inventory System, Pet Namer, Pattern Matcher, etc.
Click - buy 50k ammo stacks instantly without carpal tunnel!
AO Relay Chat - chat with folks in-game without logging into the AO client
AO Item Assistant - inventories all of your characters into a searchable list, also comes with a PB pattern matcher. My new favorite program!
Mission Buddy - Clicksaver alternative, check out their homepage for more information.

Damage Dumpers/Trackers - for those who live & die by the DD (quite a few of us in OO as you may have noticed! ;))
AO Parser - original, old skool DD, some find this hard to use
TinyDump - popular fancy newer DD, purportedly easy to use
magicDump - popular fancy newer DD, purportedly easy to use

All-in-One Guide Sites (someone think of a better name please!)
AO Universe - The most up-to-date quest/tradeskill site there is
Anarchy Arcanum - not updated, but great guides
AO Vault - not updated, some good raid guides here
AO Stratics - not updated, some nice old skool RK dungeon guides with dungeon maps
AO Wiki - wiki guides for AO

Expansion Specific
Alien Invasion info
Shadowlands info

Skill Calculation Tools
Nillan's Skill Emulator - handy tool to plan out your char (I use it to plan imps too), no AI/LE items though
Easy table to check trickle-down
Agg/def calculator - how much init needed to hit 1/1 with any given weapon
Formulas for calculating refresh on weapon specials

Nanos
Jexai's Nanolist -Gardens - all SL nanos by prof, and where to buy them
AO Nanos - for checking whether nanos are valuable or not
Full Nano listings by Profession - Auno, click on prof name in the bottom section of the left menu

Imps/Symbs
iMatrix - popular imp/symb configuration tool (Defunct, anyone have an alternate?)
ImplantHelper - An up-to-date implant/symbiant planner, with an integrated shopping checklist, tick em off as you go :)
Nano Nanny - another popular imp planner; this one you can actually print out your configs!
AO Pocket - what PBs drop what symbs
AO Premade Implants Search
How much will my implant ql get bumped??

Tradeskills
AO Tradeskills
Tier armor guide - one of the nicer ones I've seen
Arul Saba Bracelets - from Anarchy Arcanum

Timers
APF gate timer (you can also '/tell campalot !apf' in-game)
Latest activity in Pandemonium

Quests
Basic clothing quests - used for Maria's fashion, AI armor (not a bad money maker!)
Bazzit Quest - Needed to train AI Tech 3. Do it as soon as you hit 150!

Profession Guides - the best of the best!
Fixer Guide by Aginorgotd
Martial Artist Guide by Engelen
Soldier Guide by Tepamina
Engineer Guide MkIII by Highorbit (brought up-to-date by Muha)

Misc
List of Boss Auras & Modifiers - for you crazy dyna farmers
RK Maps, listed by Map Nav requirement
Which maps am I missing? - Handy copy/paste tool to quickly tell you what RK maps you're missing
SL Solo leveling guide (targeted to shades but useful for other profs)
Guide to Inferno dynabosses
Bored with the normal GUI? Try Notum Dovvetech

Maps!
Atlas Of Rubi-Ka - Currently the most up-to-date RK map there is
Spheremap - Still the best SL map around, if a bit outdated

I will edit this post to add more... probably easier than having them spread out over many posts.

I've been half-tempted to compile an up-to-date tradeskill website, based on the format from Arcanum. Wonder if it'd be biting off more than I can chew...

Was I the only one who used WebReaper to download the whole thing? If it falls down again, I could probably send it to people if you want me to.

Does that mean you have all the pages & code for the old Arcanum site? If that's true, do ya think you could bundle it up & email it to me?

Just announcing that a new version of Item Assistant is out and working properly after the latest patch which made it crash when you zoned.
